H.P State Handicrafts & Handloom Shop review: Himachal Pradesh, is a hilly State in the North of India , bordering the Himalayas. Its people have expertise in the fine art of spinning and weaving of wool and this is evident in the pashmina shawls and the thicker, more functional, brightly patterned woolen shawls that they weave. While the pure pashminas are very expensive , the woolen shawls made from Angora and Shebu wool , which are in the range of Rs 1700 to Rs 3000 per piece ,are more affordable. Woolen caps ,popularly referred to as Kulu caps, with the typical Himachali patterns and weaves, are colorful, functional and very popular. They start from Rs 200 a piece.
The first floor has a stock of painted wooden and metal toys and artefacts.
