Anokhi in Chennai for Cotton Dresses & Furnishings

As you enter the Chamiers Shopping Complex, you will walk straight into the Anokhi, Chennai showroom. It is a quiet place with few shoppers.

Anokhi Chennai  is a very popular shop for cool cotton dresses.  Kurtis, tops, dupattas and jackets are available in this store.  Dresses with white colour with floral motifs or pleasing pastel shades are the prominent colours here. Crinkled dupattas, A line kurtis, wrap arounds and skirts are the best sellers in this store. Tunics and dresses are very comfortable in summer.Smart summer tops in simple prints are also great buys here .

The Indigo coloured kurti or a crimson scarf are some of the best sellers, simply because the colours are very original.

Simple long jackets and quilted jackets in colourful prints and smart designs are very attractive.

Salwar Sets in Anokhi, Chennai

They have elegant salwar sets that are displayed in a colour coordinated manner. Same kind of fabrics with same prints  are used to make jackets, salwars ,kurtis and  dresses. Hence, if you like a particular fabric/pattern, you can choose a jacket or a dress or a kurti in that pattern. This concept is very unique to Anokhi.

On the adjacent room are stocks of bed furnishings and table linen. Bedsheets, quilts and pillows in coordinated colours are available here. The quilts are particularly soft and comfortable.

In addition, toilet bags in coordinated colours are very useful.

Scarves & Stoles

Further, scarves and stoles in silk and cotton are other beautiful items in this store .

Anokhi, Chennai , is probably one of the best shops for cotton kurtis . The block printed fabrics that is the speciality of Rajasthan is used in almost all the fabrics. The prints and colours are distinct and very Rajasthani in their appeal.

While the prices are not particularly cheap as compared to similar shops,, one pays for quality and style.
