Ahujasons Shawl Wale Pvt. Ltd is known for its exquisite collection of shawls, stoles, scarves and mufflers in quality woolens like cashmere, pashmina, jamawar and kullu. Intricate Kashmiri embroidery, lace work and cross stitch embellish the soft fabric with colourful designs.
Founded more than 35 years ago, the brand has enabled the Pashmina to go beyond age, eras and cultures.
Some of them carry Indian motifs and prints that range between the contemporary and the exotic. Plain stoles and shawls are either elegant in subtle shades or striking in eye-catching colours. Some others have minimal embroidery and are hence suitable day-wear. Others are available as fancy evening wear with a delicate sprinkling of sequins.
Simple shawls cost between Rs. 3000 and Rs. 5000 each. Also, the superior cashmere and pashmina woollens with heavy embroidery cost a hefty Rs. 25,000 each.
Mufflers start at Rs. 500 and go up to Rs. 2000 per piece.
Ahujasons, through its modern-day collections, nurtures the rich heritage craft of shawl-making. It supports the community of Indian weavers and the master craftsmanship of the traditional Kashmiri Gharana (trend).
Moreover, Ahujasons is keen to preserve, promote the handcrafted shawl industry and especially the pashmina wear. It has taken up the cause of weavers-craftsmen in real earnest. The company not only trained practicing craftsmen but also upgraded pre-loom and post-loom operations.
With the domestic market witnessing a significant rise in demand, Ahujasons opted for wholesale distribution in 1985. The exports division was started in 1997. A decade’s experience enabled the company to carve a niche global market.
Ahujasons currently operates a 200-strong dealer network in more than 35 countries and across continents. The domestic market also boasts of 600 dealers all over India and a hundred in Delhi alone.
