Dastakari Haat Studio

Dastakari Haat is a national association to sustain and promote Indian crafts, arts and textiles. It was established in 1986 by crafts patron Jaya Jaitly. The Dilli Haat open air market is sponsored by Dastakari Haat.

They have a permanent store in Khan Market, Delhi. The small shop, located on the 2nd floor, has an assortment of interesting items that is unlikely to be found elsewhere. Some of the items include hand painted tin tiffin boxes, evening bags made from basketry, hand painted glass bottles, small painted trunks, hand painted mini wooden chest of drawers, trays, bowls, mugs and wall hangings. It is fun to just potter around here. Adjacent to this shop is the Dastakari saree shop to promote handloom saris and other handmade drape textiles. South Indian cotton sarees, Bengal cotton sarees, Maheshwari sarees Kota sarees, Ikkat and Paitini sarees are some of the varieties available here.

They also stock stoles and dupattas. If you are looking for exclusive handloom sarees, this store is worth a visit.
