Runaway Bicycle – Readymade Garment Retailers

Runaway Bicycle – Being the ultimate fashion destination in India, Mumbai is no stranger to modern chic boutiques. Runway Bicycle is one such boutique by Preeti Verma.

The designer clothes in the store is representative of the free spirite-d woman who wears her clothes for comfort.

The story goes that Preeti, the founder, used to runaway with her brother’s bicycle and enjoy the freedom that it brought her, hence the name “Runaway Bicycle’.

The entire collection speaks of a free spirited, comfortable and functional fashion. This is not any quirky and funky collection of dresses, but a carefully curated, light, simple and stylish collection of dresses. The small and cosy store is redolent of minimalism. Shirts with inseam pockets, delicate strips, normal to raglan sleeves, oversize tops & dresses, loose, stripped pants and flares, plated and midi styled dresses are the latest collections on display.

Dorris, Matilde, Claire and Penny Lane are some of the names of the collections.

Jackets, pants, jumpsuits, stoles and scarves are inspire-d by the same philosophy. They are raw and organic in appeal.

The price ranges from Rs. 3500- Rs. 7000/piece. They make their own handloom fabrics from scratch. They also use organic cotton and natural dyes.

Most of their apparel is made to order. The staff is always ready to help you.

Mehta Emporium- Gold Jewellery

Located in the first floor of the Hetal Arch building, you will simply not expect how such a wonderful showroom is tucked away from plain sight. Built with eclectic interiors, the store which started by primarily offering exquisite jewellery has now grown into a complete bridal house catering to both jewellery and trousseau needs for the bride-to-be. While this shopper was first taken through their regular collection, the truly exquisite pieces in the store came to light when Mr. Nakshtra Mehta (owner of the store) himself started showing some of the best pieces in the store. Being highly knowledgeable of his craft, he personally took time out to guide us through the gemstone and diamond jewellery in the store. From taking through the details of ethically sourced diamond jewellery by Forevermark to the detailed in-house craftsmanship going behind the gem storne jewellery, we learned quite a lot about the intricacies in the jewellery available at Mehta Emporium. The most attractive collection in the store is the kundan jadau pieces which are in the 2 Lakh plus range. The necklaces , braceltes and bangles are truly exquisite . Mehta Emporium launched the ‘Rare Heritage’ brand which now has a celebrity following and caters to complete needs of a bride-to-be. Bollywood actress Asin sported jewellery from the brand during her wedding reception. Actresses like Karisma Kapoor and Dia Mirza too have modelled for the brand.
